We live in busy times, when we're so focused on getting to wherever it is we want to, that we scarcely have time to pause and greet a stranger on the street, even when they happen to bump into us. But sometimes, just sometimes, that chance encounter on a subway train, or a half finished conversation with a stranger in a pub, reminds us that there is a whole world out there, full of people and experiences we could learn from and share in, if only we'd stop for a second.
